NETHERLANDS: SDCP (1979-1988) / SDC Putten (1988-)

Sportpark 'De Putter Eng', Putten (SDC Putten, formerly SDCP)

Netherlands, province: Guelders = Gelderland

11 VII 2009 / SDC Putten - PAOK Salonica 0-4 / Friendly

Note: Puttense Voetbal- en Atletiekvereniging SDCP saw the daylight in 1952 as a merger between VVP ('Voetbalvereniging Putten', founded in 1937) and OMS ('Oefening Maakt Sterk', founded in 1940); originally choosing SDC ('Sterk Door Combinatie') as their name, the club were compelled by the Netherlands' Football Association to become SDCP due to a club from Amsterdam already being called SDC; eventually, in 1988, the club officially became SDC Putten. Upon the merger in 1952, VVP's pitch behind Café Den Hartogh at Voorthuizerstraat was abandoned, as all activities moved to OMS's ground at Hoofdlaan. Eventually, in 1979, the move was made to Sportpark 'De Putter Eng'; the current main stand was inaugurated in the 1991/92 season.
