BELGIUM: RRC Waterloo (B) (1926-2013, 2017-) / RRC Waterloo (2013-2017) / AFCCM Braine Waterloo (2017-)

Joli-Bois B, Waterloo (RRC Waterloo Reserves & AFCCM Braine Waterloo, formerly RRC Waterloo - A pitch)

Belgium, province: Walloon Brabant

12 V 2015 / RC Waterloo - Union Saint-Gilloise 1-2 / Friendly

Note: when RRC Waterloo gained promotion to the national leagues for the first time in their history in 2013, the club was obliged to play its first team football on the 3G side pitch of Joli-Bois, as the measurements of the A pitch did not meet national football regulations. To offer some comfort to spectators, a temporary stand was built (cp. photos); this was done, however, without asking permission to Waterloo's town council, which did not take the matter lightly and requested the club to knock the construction down; finally, in January 2016, the stand was removed. After plans to create a completely new stadium at Joli-Bois (cp. last photo of these series) had come to naught, it was decided upon to simply extend the grass pitch - and finally, in March 2017, Waterloo's first team returned to their 'proper' main pitch. Apart from Waterloo's lower teams, the 3G has been in use for first team matches of another club, AFCCM Braine Waterloo, since mid-2017.
